Since its founding, Strowd Roses
has awarded over 300 grants totaling more than $2.6 million
to some 160 different programs in the Chapel Hill and
Carrboro communities. Some
55% of these grants have gone to support education- or child
welfare-related projects, with the balance for health care, the
arts, special services to Latino and senior citizens, recreation and
the environment. Every three
months, the Board of Directors reviews new applications for grant money.
